Looking for a long weekend get away for me and my husband. Flying into Stansted. Want something in the city center, preferably with a spa. Reasonably priced. I dont even know where to start looking! Suggestions, links, please share!! Thank you!

"at reasonable price" in all….
There are not any my friend!
Non whatsoever.
London is a very fast moving rough lonely old place.
People work and try to stay alive.
That’s all nothing much else.

Hotel review time, Travelodge, Barking, London, UK. It was pretty cheap for London and the bed was comfy. After making this video, I tried the shower.. it refused to moderate the heat and I had the hottest shower I’ve ever had. Oh, and keep watching til the end, I do one of the best of my life. Haha.

what are the best hotels and service for low price in london?

hey guys me and a friend of mines are going to london in november but are booking things now…i want to know what are some really good hotels in london near the LHR Airport..that provides good service and maybe transportation to spots we wanna go to..E.T.C. for low price..planing to stay for only 2 to 3 days..???? thanks!

ps..i also want to know how are the people down there and towards black people.and besides museums what are some great spots…places like an arcade,carnival,parks, E.T.C. places of fun and entertainment.???? thanks alot for the info

I really like Base2Stay about a block from Earl’s Court Underground station. The hotel is quiet, affordable, and well rated at Trip Advisor. There are a few pubs and restaurants nearby, and the Underground is well connected so you can get around London easily.

I also stayed at Andaz at Liverpool Street Underground station, and found it to be very nice, but too pricey for what you get. My main reason for using it was to commute daily on the GW Rail away from the City.

I also like the Hilton Metropole at Edgware Rd Underground Station. It has great rooms, but the neighborhood is not my favorite. I’ve attended conferences there, that is how I found it. While it is close to Edgware Rd tube, it is a comfortable walk from Paddington as well. This makes it a first night or last night place before taking the Express train back to Heathrow.

To get started in London, take the Underground to Westminster Station, and take the bridge exit. When you get to the top of the stairs you will see why. Then, walk west towards the Church, and turn right on WhiteHall. Walk all the way to Trafalgar Square and then on to Leicester Square or Picadilly Circus. This is a great way to stamp out the jet lag the first day you are in London. The Pepsi Trocadero is a cheesy place just to the east of the large famous sign at Picadilly Circus.

Suggestions for midnight layover at London Gatwick Airport?

My wife and I will soon be on an international flight with a layover at London Gatwick Airport from 11:35p to 9:40a. Given the time required to deplane, go through Customs, travel to a nearby hotel and reverse the process in the morning, I’m afraid we’ll only get a few hours sleep, at best. Maybe finding a quiet bench in the airport would be less stressful and almost as restful. Any suggestions about nearby hotels, quiet airport areas, or other logistic issues?

Customs at Gatwick are crap. It will take you at least an hour, hour and a half if your plane is full

Gatwick Airport Train Station?

I will be travelling from Gatwick Airport soon to Florida from the North Terminal. I will be taking the train down to Gatwick Airport and I am thinking about staying overnight at the Premier Inn Central hotel. I have been trying to find out how you get from Gatwick Airport train station to the hotel. Is there a walkway or is there a shuttle bus that will take me there? I will be travelling on my own so want to know how easy it is to get to the hotel from the train station.

I used Google Maps on the ‘name’, and came up with the Map of where it is and this site

It’ says that the hotel is yards from the Airport- but they also provide a shuttle service to/ from the airport.

The Train station is directly below Gatwick SOUTH terminal. Head to the escalators and follow signs (and other people) to the airport. There is a mini train link/ shuttle bus between Gatwick North & South terminals.
